Gameplay

In Drags 2 Riches players compete to be the most fierce Queen at the table!

Players start with a simple starterdeck of cards containing some 'starting look'-cards and some coincards. On a turn players get to play their cards, execute the actions on the cards and buy new cards from the common pool in the middle of the table. These cards contain new actions or more coins, enabling players to do more as the game progresses.

It is also possible to play a card upside down, to say you are wearing that card and adds to your look, being able to compete for the special events taking place after each round. When all players have played a turn, players declare whether or not they want to compete by putting their thumbs up or down. Competing players reveal their entire 'look' and the player with the highest look value wins the event card. Win or loose, 'used' look cards are discarded. Players that chose not to compete can take their outfit to the next round!

Game continues until the last event card is resolved. The player that won the most prestige points via the events is the winner of the game!

Thoughts

👍 This is a fun deckbuilder with a great theme. This accessible game will charm many! I’d recommend playing it with 3+ players.

👍 I really enjoy the theme and the artwork fits nicely with it. Love the competing phrases everyone was using while we were playing and how everyone's inner queen came out!

👍 Deckbuilding works well in this game, it is definitely fun to upgrade your deck and become more and more ‘fierce’ along the way!

➖ It is nice to compete for the events each round, even though with 2 players it followed a bit quick, plays a bit different then a 4 or 5 player game for instance. My preference is the latter. Also because of the theme and discussions that might follow.
