Gameplay

In Kombo Klash players start every turn with a hand of five and take turns placing tiles on the game board, either resolving or not resolving its effect. Effects could be turning tiles, taking cards and switching cards. Once per turn players are allowed to make a Kombo, which means turning three or more tiles from the same animal and getting it's point rewards.

When a player passes 100 points, play continues until everyone has had an equal amount of turns and game ends. The player with the highest points wins the game.

Thoughts

Kombo Klash is great fun! The game comes with an awesome cloth for a game board, I really like these innovative solutions in board games and it looks really cool. It's great to take along when picknicking as a quick game on the side.

The gameplay is quick and the rules are simple. The game stays exciting until the very end. There are a lot of different tiles available with different powers. Because you are dependant of what's in your hand, the game does come with quite some luck. But that does not mean the game isn't fun!

If you like quick racing games with an innovative twist, this game is a fun one!
