Gameplay

In PARKS you and your fellow players hike the national parks of America. You hike the trail, made out of tiles, with two hikers for four seasons (rounds). The trail becomes larger every season, and changes a bit according to which tiles are included. Because of this routes are different game to game. It's a workerplacement and resourcemanagement game where you can earn victory points by visiting parks and taking pictures. There are also player missioncards, which players pick at the beginning of the game and special powers to gain at the end of each round.

Thoughts

This game is in my top ten for sure! I really like the short amount of time it takes, while still having the feel of playing a somewhat deeper game. This is why I love to bring it along when I go out eating with friends or family, it is easy to teach and understand. The artwork and the components of the game are incredible and I think this is Gametrayz best work on the insert up till now. Solo it is great too! If you like workerplacement and resourcemanagement, OR if you are not that much into gaming but are attracted to the artwork, this might just be your game!
