Gameplay

I've been playing a lot of games by Shem Philips lately, so expect some more! This one is the first game from the north sea trilogy.

In this card drafting game you start by drafting cards and then you build ships, hire craftsmen and construct buildings in order to gain victory points. Game ends when one finishes his or her 4th ship and the one with the most victory points wins the game!

Thoughts

I really like a lot about this game! Love the artwork, easy to learn and the balance between drafting and building feels solid.

The only thing I didn't really appreciate was that when drafting, the first player gets first pick of the new drawn cards and this gives the following players somewhat poorer choices. Maybe I judge too soon and I have to play it more often, which I definitely will as I will start the runesaga soon 😃
