Gameplay

The European expansion adds a whole bunch of new cards from European birds. There is also a new birdtype, which introduces end of round goals. At the end of each round this bird has a special power, which can help you one way or another during the game.

Besides the cards, the expansion also adds purple colour eggs and a new purple card tray to hold the extra cards in.

Also there is a new score sheet included which also has a side containing a score sheet for the solo play.

Thoughts

It amazes me how little this expansion adds to the gameplay and how much I still really want to play with it! I love birds, always have, and it is just so much fun to play this game with birds you already know something about! Or at least have seen flying around or something.

However the expansion doesn't add nothing, I really enjoy the end of round goals. They add just that little extra to the game.

If you are looking for an expansion for wingspan, not adding too much of a learning curve, but adding a lot of new birds and nice eggs, this might be your thing!

I'm enthousiastic about it!
