Gameplay

In Adventures of Robin Hood players fill the roles of Robin Hood and his companions, fighting for justice! 💪

The game comes with a brown, beautiful book filled with chapters, each having their own goals and objectives to complete, fulfilling the story of Robin Hood.

In the game players move figures around the board, fight guards, talk to people in town, find locations, all while trying to not run out of time.

Thoughts

Adventures of Robin Hood is a fun storytelling game with a lot of innovative touches. It's a lightweight game, great for families!

👍 How I love the innovative addition of the brown book! It's beautiful! The translation of a literary game is very well done. Also the way of moving feels new to me.

👍 It's a low entry game. The rules are easily learned, players just start out reading the book and learn as they go (I'll post more about this one day, more designers attempt this!).

👍 I like how the bag has various functions; player selection, combat, bad guys and when events are triggered. This multifunctionality also comes forward in the reuse of tiles on the board, it's well implemented!

➖ The components of the game are solid, but the little cardboard tiles that have to be flipped often damage real easy unfortunately. Not a dealbreaker, but I always do find that sort of annoying.

➖ I played the game with 2, but missed parts of the story for the other characters, so I recommend playing with 4!
