Board game review & gameplay of: kites

🪁 in #Kites, players try to keep their kites flying high up in the air!

🪁 They do so by taking turns playing cards in order to flip the timers, that represent the differently coloured kites, before they run out.

🪁 When the players run through the deck without the timers running out, they win the game, if not, they lose!

🪁 There’s also a simple variant to ease thungs uo a bit and there are also some special cards that can be added to the deck of cards to spice things up a bit! 🌶️


Kites was high on my list when visiting Spiel this year. And I must say it didn’t disappoint! I really like how easy and fun this game is! It’s also quite chaotic, but that often ensures a good laugh amongst the players.

👍 the gameplay can be tailored to your needs with an easier variant and harder cards to add

👍➖ it’s chaotic, stressfull and there will be screaming involved, be aware 😄.


Kites is een zeer toegankelijk spel met een mooie variëteit in moeilijkheidsgraad. Het speelt snel weg en kan met gemak wat chaotisch genoemd worden. Aan te raden als je van korte realtime spelletjes houd waarin je samen het spel probeert te verslaan!
