Gameplay

Meet PRIME CLIMB, a peculiar looking game designed by 2 math teachers, to make math more fun! And spoiler alert: it really does!😃

In this game players try to reach the middle space first with two pawns of their colour.

They do so by throwing the dice and subtracting, adding, dividing or multiplying the numbers thrown with the number on the space the pawn currently stands. The dice need to be used separately!

When a player ends on a red square they get to take an action card, which does something, usually beneficial. When a player ends on another players space, that one goes back to start.

Thoughts

If you know me, you know that I love learning by playing. This game really lets you use those mathy muscles of your brain!

The gameplay really is a lot of fun, there are a lot of options to explore. It's a real challenge to go as quickly as possible!

The designer has some easy how to play videos and explains how each circle on the board is uniquely tied to a colourcode, which makes it simple to multiply via the colourcodes!

The game is elegant in its simplicity, both in visuals as in gameplay.

WHATS LESS APPEALING?

Some games it can feel a bit long when you're in bad luck, but it didn't bother us that much, since it is such fun!

Maybe a downside is the graphics are not that apealing to me, but I do think it really fits the game!

7.5/10

A copy of this game was provided to me by Ravensburger for the purpose of writing this review. My opinion however remains my own.
