Gameplay

๐Ÿ’Ž In this game, players build up the city Rome, tile by tile in a โ€˜I cut you chooseโ€™-style!

๐Ÿ’Ž Players all have their own stack of tiles and start with 4 gems each

๐Ÿ’Ž At the start of a round players place 5 tiles open in front of them and place the buildings for that round on the first 2 tiles. At this point everybody is able to see what lies there.

๐Ÿ’Ž Then, players divide the tiles in 2 groups, placing a gem with the smallest group. Players reveal their options and pick one option from their neighbours (as indicated by the roundcard).

๐Ÿ’Ž With the new tiles they build up a land, gaining points at game end per building that is located next to lands in that particular color.

๐Ÿ’Ž After 4 rounds the game ends. Players score points per building and for the gemstones they have earned! Highest points wins the game.

Thoughts

Overall Iโ€™m mostly charmed by the accessibility of this โ€˜I cut-you chooseโ€™ game. Itโ€™s incredibly straightforward and games are short.

๐Ÿ‘ its accessibility

๐Ÿ‘ the little buildings are very cool

๐Ÿ‘ every game is a new puzzle to solve

๐Ÿ‘ little to no downtime

โž–at 2p count it gets a bit repetitive, better at 3+ for the tension

8/10

A copy of this game was provided to me by Alley Cat Games for the purpose of writing this review. My opinion however remains my own.
