Gameplay
Have you ever heard of the telephone game? This game is just like it, only with drawing and words!
In this game all players draw a card and one player rolls the dice to decide which word is selected.
All players take their player boards and write their name on the first page together with the selected word. Then they turn the page around and create a quick drawing of the word just written down.
After this the players give their playerboards to the player on their right and this player writes down in words what they think this drawing is. The next player will make a drawing again from the word they see and so on and so on.
Thoughts
Overall I think Telestrations is a very nice interpretation of the telephone game and great if you are into party games such as Just One. The drawings make it really funny, especially when people are not the best illustrators in the world!
👍 This game is fun and causes a lot of laughter. So much that the scoring even doesn't really matter that much anymore in the end!
👍 Telestrations is easy to learn and teach, great for parties and quick in between games!
👍 Its engagement is high, but still there is some alone time when you are drawing or guessing.
➖ I have a hard time thinking of downsides for this game
