Gameplay

This is a standalone expansion to Undaunted: Normandy.

πŸ‘‰ So what's new?
- New scenarios in a different setting
- Vehicles
- Assymetrical powers

In this deckbuilding game 2 players simulate the battle between the raiders of Britain's Long Range Desert Group (LRDG) and the Italian forces in North Africa during the second World War.

The game consists of various scenarios, each one with a different environmental setup using the tiles that come with the game. Players have their own assymetrical missions, starting decks and market from which new cards can be 'recruited'. The player that completes their mission first, wins that particular scenario!

Thoughts

Please bear in mind I haven't played Undaunted: Normandy

πŸ‘ The assymatrical aspect
πŸ‘ The various scenarios to walk through make it feel like a campaign game
πŸ‘ I really appreciate how deckbuilding is implemented together with the movement and other actions in the play area. It feels new
πŸ‘ A solid tactical wargame
πŸ‘ Ace production quality

βž– Dice used for combat
βž– Steep learning curve, although the scenarios have an increasing difficulty

A copy of this game was provided to me by Osprey Games for the purpose of writing this review. My opinion however remains my own.
