The game is played over 3 eras, with an income round after each era. Players gain coins for the amount of influence they have had building roads.
On a turn players can choose one of the colours to play an action in that specific colour.
The different actions are:
🔑 unlocking a key to unlock a special ability & unlock a room
🛣️ constructing a road and gaining influence in the construction offices
🛣️ constructing a highway. Making trucks move faster and also gaining more influence in the construction office
🚚 loading a truck with cargo at one of the big cities
⛽️ building a station along the road
Every time a card is played, players also gain truck movement in the played cards colour. This is how deliveries are made!
During the game, players climb in the Administration & Construction offices, which will be unlocked by the unlock action. Depending on how much influence each player has, points will be divided after the last road is build.
The player with the most points, wins the game! 🏆
Overall: Autobahn is a solid euro-, pick up and delivery game. There is nice engine building present and the scoring is tight.
👍 I like how the cardsystem works, the upgrades feel satisfying and moving the truck when playing a colour is well thought of
👍 I like how well the pick up and delivery mechanic is implemented in this game. Loading containers onto your trucks and moving them, it’s very pleasing

👍➖ The game feels a bit fiddly with all its many rules to remember
➖ I feel like illustrationwise it could be better. Especially the rulebook looks a bit outdated for today in my opinion
