Gameplay
🚀In this game players try to fight each other until the other ship is destroyed!
🚀They do so by rolling dice until one of the players shouts ‘FIRE’. Then all players stop rolling and the one shouting FIRE 🔥is allowed to start this round executing actions by removing commanders of their board in the colour needed to activate an action.
🚀 players move by removing their assigned dice and attack by rolling as much dice as activated during their rolls. Attacks can also be ranged +1 +1 making it a ranged attack and there are also torpedos that move closer to their enemies each turn.
🚀First the shields are attacked and when no more shields, real pieces are starting to break down. When a player looses the final bit, they’ve lost the game!
Thoughts
Overall: I’m a huge fan of this realtime game. It’s quick, easy to learn and superfun chasing each other while manically rolling dice! 🎲🤩
👍 I like how the game is not just realtimed, but also leaves some room for thinking quietly and strategically as well
👍 the gameplay is great in its simplicity, roll dice, shoot and move and go again, it’s addictive
👍 the components are ace! Real nice 3D ships (deluxe!) and wooden torpedos
👍 well designed challenging solomode to defeat a cool purple ship that shoots various things at you using a small deck of cards
👍➖ if you don’t like realtime games, you probably won’t like this one either
👍➖ it remains a dice game and you can’t escape a bad roll every now and then
A copy of this game was provided to me by Alley Cat Games for the purpose of writing this review. My opinion however remains my own.
