This expansion comes with:

🦦 a new gameboard with an easy and a more advanced side, to be added to the small board.

🦦 Players get to play a new arrow, for this board specifically, gaining all sorts new water creatures and plants.

🦦 These creatures don’t score the players points, but let their kayakers progress downstream, giving them all sorts of bonuses and victory points at game end.

So besides the base gameplay, there is a new element of progressing on this watertrack.

In my earlier review I shared that I found the game arc of Meadow just a bit too long. In my opinion, this expansion fixes this by adding new elements to the game, it feels more rounded off to me. I like it a lot!!

👍 the artwork again is stunning

👍 the game arc feels just right, fixed in comparison to the basegame

👍 the progression ‘downstream’ is very nice, a different way to develop and score points. It provides a fresh new element of choice to the game, without getting too ‘thinky’

👍 I like the fact there are two sides of the board, an easier one and one with a bit more spice to it.

A copy of this game was provided to me by Rebel Studio Games for the purpose of writing this review. My opinion however remains my own.
