Gameplay
In Coral, players develop a coral reef together, whilst vying to position their own species closest to the top, where they can soak up the life-giving sunlight ☀️
Together - as much as against one another - you'll build a unique 3D structure out of wooden pieces. This represents a coral reef growing and living in a complex, competitive harmony 🪸
Move around the table to find the best spots to grow your species, whilst blocking your opponents!
At the end of the game, the player with the most pieces visible from above the reef is the winner🏆

Thoughts
Overall, Coral is a pretty and fastpaced game with a lovely theme which will appeal to many of us.
The game is easy to learn, but has enough challenge to keep games fresh and exciting.
The solomode is something on its own and surprised me in a good way.
Coral deserves a spot in my gamecabinet!
👍 the game components are great, nice chunky game pieces
👍 easy to teach and learn, games play quick and ensures a nice puzzly feel
👍 nice separately designed solomode
➖ a 2-player game is a bit less fun imo, solo or 3+ is the way!
Solomode
The solomode plays entirely different. Each coralcolour scores in a different way and you’re trying to score as much points as possible, building your reef. It works like a gem and I can recommend trying it out!
A copy of this game was provided to me by Black Box Adventures for the purpose of writing this review. My opinion however remains my own.
