In #Insecta players will travel the world as entomologists collecting different insects, fulfilling certain requirements and with this also complete goals.

At the beginning of a round the first player will move the seasonal token to the next season and start their turn, by choosing one of the actions available.

Various actions are:

✈️ Travel
move X spots following the arrows on the board

✉️ Mail
Take one of the available missions (red) or draw 2 from the deck and select one (blue), discarding the other. This tile will immediately be played in your tableau and have a way of scoring points depending on which insects are connected, at once or when the requirement is met (or in a row/column, or adjacently).

🔎 magnifying glass
collect an insect at the site you're at (take the top oneor 3 choose 1)

🏅 Collect a medal
When scoring a medal objective, take a cube scoring a number of medals, gaining the benefits accordingly.

The insects and missions will be placed in a checkerboard pattern in order to score as much points as possible.

When one of the players has a completed 4*6 grid, the game will end. All players count scores.

👍 I really enjoy the artwork, also at the back of the board. It's completely gorgeous!

👍 The replayability of this game is very well taken care of. The seasonal tiles can be changed around to create a new game each play and there are a lot, but really, A LOT of envelopes!

👍 The gameplay is great, I love the tableaubuilding each game of the tiles and objects in front of me together with the medals. There are some interesting choices to be made and every game feels very different!

➖ Even though I truly am a great fan of the artwork of this game, I personally don't really like the shiny board and the tokens used in this game, custom tokens and meeples would've been awesome! Also the graphic design could use some clearity.

A copy of this game was provided to me by GDM Games for the purpose of writing this review. My opinion however remains my own.
