Gameplay

In this game players collect furs on different locations in Siberia, trade these for various actions in order to eventually collect sweet victory points.

Thoughts

At first the game reminded me of Parks, with the interchangeable routes 😅. In a far distance it might resemble some small pieces of the game but, in fact this is a medium/heavy euro game and very, VERY different from Parks!

Besides brilliant artwork, the theme is not that noticeable, but it does a very good job for a euro game. The game is complex, but manageable due to the strong iconography on the main board. The game has a lot to explore and I myself can't really grasp it in one or two mechanisms.

I'm a fan of the designer and this game, so different than his others, is a hot for me!

👍 The gameplay is very solid, has precisely the right amount of possible actions
👍 Gorgeous artwork
👍 Big replayability due to big changes in setup each game
👍 Language independent, the game consists of strong iconography

➖ Analysis Paralysis
➖ The theme might bother some
➖ Downtime is bit long

Solomode

The solomode is great! It (IA Ivan) consists of a small deck of cards and is really easy to maintain. I like that they score points at the end the same way the player does!

8/10

A copy of this game was provided to me by Geronimo Games for the purpose of writing this review. My opinion however remains my own.
