Suspicious is a partygame in which one player is the spy and the others agents!

One of the players is the leader, who manages the decoder and tells the players to close their eyes. One player is the spy and the other players are agents. The leader selects a player to be the spy and shows the agents a certain word and the spy gets to see a different kind of word.

After this, the leader thinks of a keyword, one that brings the two words together. All players get to write down one word at the top of their playerboards trying to signal to the agents they're one of them but not trying to expose too much, since the spy would be able to guess the word. The spy tries to figure a word that makes enough sense not to be descovered. After showing each other the words players write down a second word, which has to be different from the first.

After this players will discuss and accuse others and defend themselves. When times up, players write down the name of the one they think is the spy. When most players vote for someone else, the spie gets +2 points. If most players voted for the spy, the agents all get +2 points, but the spie gets to guess their codeword and when guessed correctly they will still get +1 point.

Game ends when each player has been the leader 2 times in a 4-5 player game and 1 time for a 6-8 player game. Player with the most points wins the game.

This is an interesting party game. It reminds me a bit of werewolves, but because the players switch teams, but keep their own scores, you do not only want to win with the team, but also individually. This makes it a quite interesting trade off between a 1 vs all game and a competitive game.

I do not really enjoy the fact that there has to be a leader every round, that doesn't really participate in the game itself, however, this does switches every round, which makes it a little less big of a deal.

Suspicious is a fun party game, which I will definitely play again during the holiday season. It's perfect as an afterdinner game :).

A copy of this game was provided to me by Jumbo Games for the purpose of writing this review. My opinion however remains my own.
