Gameplay

πŸš‚ In Ticket to Ride San Fransisco players are connecting routes, just like with the regular TTR games. This one is a short variant, with a smaller gameboard.

πŸš‚ Players start their game with 2 mission cards, being able to discard up to 1. They then take turns performing one of the following actions:

πŸš‚ Taking 2 cards from the pool of cards or from the deck
Playing cards to build trams along the routes, gaining points in doing so
Taking new mission cards that’ll gain points at the end of the game

πŸš‚ When connecting a route to a souvenirpoint, the active player may take 1 souvenir. at the end of the game players gain extra points for unique souvenirs.

πŸš‚ When one of the players has less then 2 trams left, all players get to perform one final turn, after which scores are counted.

Thoughts

πŸ‘ I really enjoy the vibe this game has, the artwork, but also the joyous theme, with the rainbows and colorful game board and unique vehicle illustrations.

πŸ‘ This is the fourth small Ticket to Ride game, after London, New York and Amsterdam. I think I like this one the most. Like I said above, it's vibrant!! But also I like the set collection part, which is a small minigame within the regular gameplay.

πŸ‘ I like that they introduced the ferrys of TTR Europe in this smaller TTR

βž– it’s a bit risky to take more cards in this smaller game, but I don’t really mind it that much
