Gameplay

🐕In this game, players try to rescue stray dogs by laying out patterns to lure them!

🐩On a turn the active player executes three actions, taking cards to your hand or tokens to your playerboard, or moving a token on your playerboard.

🐕‍🦺All the while the active player is trying to build a pattern which concludes a training card in their hand. If so, they get to play this card (not as an action), and the card says how many of these dogtiles can go to one of the houses, each scoring points in a different manner (varies with each game setup).

🦮Play continues until one of the players completes 7 training cards, after which points are calculated. End of game points are awarded for the different coloured dogs according to how these are placed on the scoring board.

Thoughts

I really like this game! I like how versatile the setup is, how there are different routes to follow to victory and how it is unclear who the winner is until the very end..! The gameplay is simple and still there are a lot of choices to make.

👍 accesible rules and fun gameplay

👍 beautiful artwork, solid components with cool little dogmeeples

👍 variable setup, to tailor the game to your needs

➖ when I think about the design choices when it comes to the theme of the game it quickly doesn’t really adds up to me, but that doesn’t change the way I like playing the game 😅
